Mr. Khagendra Acharya, Lecturer in the Department of Languages and Mass Communication, returned from India after the completion of Scholar-in-Residence Scholarship funded by Ford Foundation and offered by Centre for Contemporary Theory.

The Centre invites four scholars every year from South Asia (excluding India) in the areas of humanities and social sciences to consult the Centre’s library for his/her research work. It also creates opportunity to interact with the students and teachers from M. S. University of Baroda and other neighboring universities on topics of his/her interest. The fellowship is meant to foster cultural understanding between India and its neighbors and to create a climate for intellectual linkages between the countries.

During the stay for a month, Mr. Acharya interacted with the scholars and students in Gujarat, delivered talk, and visited  historically and culturally important locations both in Gujarat and Maharastra.
