Mr. Haris Adhikari Brings out His Second Literary Venture

Mr. Haris Adhikari, Lecturer in English at Humanities and Managment Unit, School of Engineering, has come up with his second literary venture, Sangam (2018), a bilingual anthology of 64 translated contemporary Nepali poems. The book covers three generations of Nepali poets from around 1990 to the present. Each translation precedes the original poem, with respective poet's bionote.

The anthology, published by Shabdayatra Prakashan, Kavre, was released on 10 February 2018 by Prof. Dr. Tulasi Diwasa and Prof. Dr. Jangab Chauhan, prominent writers and critics in Nepali literature. 




Mr. Dahal Contributed a Book Chapter

Mr. Sudarshan Prasad Dahal, Assistant Professor of Media Studies  contributed a book chapter entitled on :'Media Biased in the Coverage of Political Conflict of Nepal’ in recently published book: Freinheit und Journalismus (Freedom and Journalism) - 2018 (pp. 189-205), edited by Andrea Czepek/Melanie Hellwig/Beate Illg/Eva Nowak. Publisher: Nomos Verlagsgesellschaft, Germany.

Dr. Bista Participated in IC3SE-18 International Conference

Dr. Rabindra Bista, Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DoCSE), participated in the International Conference on Communication, Computing, Storage & Energy (IC3SE-18), 15-17 February, 2018 held at Zeal College of Engineering and Research, Narhe, Pune, India. As a Resource Person of the Conference, he gave Research Presentation in Health Informatics and chaired the first Technical Session of the conference as well.

During his this visit, Dr. Bista interacted with the senior faculties and management body of Zeal College of Engineering and Research, Professors from both Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Thailand, for future collaborations of Kathmandu University with them.
