DSP For DSL

The project focuses on the use of digital signal processing techniques for the effective implementation of Digital subscriber line. DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) is a technology for bringing high-bandwidth information to homes and small businesses over ordinary copper telephone lines. So with the use of this technology we can enjoy the facility of using both phone and internet simultaneously over ordinary telephone lines using copper wires. So we basically investigated and studied the basics about DSL, which briefly includes its characteristics, types, factors affecting it, working principle. At the same time it also focuses on the adaptive filtering process along with its application of noise cancellation. In DSL system there is presence of noise or interference so with the help of adaptive filtering application we can minimize the effect of the noise. So with the use of DSP, channel characterization has also been done because of which we obtained faster and better performance of DSL system.
