PCEG 420                                     ENGINEERING PROJECT                                        5 Credits

Objective:

  1. To apply the knowledge gained from various courses in carrying out electrical and electronic system design and its implementation
  2. To develop skills in goal setting, planning, investigation and research, teamwork, implementation, assessment, report writing and presentation
  3. To develop practical skills required for real engineering practice, from conceptualisation to effective realization.

Outline:

Students continue with the same project, started in PCEG404. Detailed logbook shall be maintained and short intermediate reports shall also be submitted, as required. The project will be assessed against the declared aims and objectives determined in PCEG404. Individual/group report should be submitted giving full technical details of the engineering research, design and implementation of the completed project. Project product shall be demonstrated after the presentation, if any.

The course may also contain an industrial project/apprentice/internship component.
